But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, goodness, faithfulness, kindness, and self-control against such there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23

Strawberries, bananas and grapes, Oh My!  You will be seeing a great deal of fruit around our end of the building in the coming months.  Our theme for the new school year is “The Fruit of the Spirit.”  

Each week in chapel and within our classrooms we will be concentrating on one of the nine fruits of the Spirit listed in Galatians 5:22-23.  By the time you are reading this the new school year will be under way and we will have bitten into the fruit of Love, learning that we love because God first loved us.

Throughout the year we will be sharing some our fruity adventures with you in a variety of ways.  We hope and pray that your lives will be touched in some way by the fruit that we bear and share.

I was totally blown away with this amazing haven for children! It is absolutely state of the art!  From the classrooms to the playground and the wonderful teachers and director who designed such a wonderful learning environment…just beautiful! Congratulations to you and all the Zion Lutheran parishioners who supported this effort!

The Director, Jen Welsh, gave me a personal tour and I met the teachers and visited each of the three classrooms as well as the additional spaces for future expansion of the school.  Amazing. What a statement from Zion Lutheran about their mission and passion in support of young children.  I met Pastor Hess and other parishioners who showed tremendous pride in this accomplishment, as well they should.

I told Jen that I would come back again with my camera as I would love to take some pictures and share them in our newsletter and website.  I also have some curriculum books for Jen that she requested for each of the classrooms and a set of big books for the teachers that I’ll bring as well.

Thank you so much for letting me know about the Open House and congratulations again on this amazing learning center for children!  I can’t wait to see the children at play!!
