School has started!

What a time of joy and excitement! It is great to see so many of our friends returning back to our classrooms. To all our new friends; welcome to the Zion family! We are so leased that you have chosen Zion Lutheran Early Childhood Center for your child’s  preschool education. For some of you, this is your first experience with school. For  others, it may simply be a new school with new faces. Regardless of your both your family and our staff.  It has been a joy for us to begin bonding with your children these first few days of school; getting to know them and their personalities; seeing the hesitation of making a new friend in a new place melt away; watching the children as they discover new things in their new surroundings and watching the smiles grow everyday as they catch on to a new song or figure out a new toy. In the midst of all this fun there are hidden expectations. Children play, parents expecting their children to be safe and teachers preparing them for things to come. These expectations are important both to you and to us!  Our staff is dedicated to serving your family and meeting the expectations you have for your children and our program. We are confident that with the love of Christ at the center of all we do, it will be a successful year. Welcome to Zion Lutheran Early Childhood Center , we are so glad you are here!

I was totally blown away with this amazing haven for children! It is absolutely state of the art!  From the classrooms to the playground and the wonderful teachers and director who designed such a wonderful learning environment…just beautiful! Congratulations to you and all the Zion Lutheran parishioners who supported this effort!

The Director, Jen Welsh, gave me a personal tour and I met the teachers and visited each of the three classrooms as well as the additional spaces for future expansion of the school.  Amazing. What a statement from Zion Lutheran about their mission and passion in support of young children.  I met Pastor Hess and other parishioners who showed tremendous pride in this accomplishment, as well they should.

I told Jen that I would come back again with my camera as I would love to take some pictures and share them in our newsletter and website.  I also have some curriculum books for Jen that she requested for each of the classrooms and a set of big books for the teachers that I’ll bring as well.

Thank you so much for letting me know about the Open House and congratulations again on this amazing learning center for children!  I can’t wait to see the children at play!!
